Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely known for her pioneering modern research of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous research publications as well as numerous grants she is also the winner of numerous national and global prizes. She has provided policy and research consultations for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
